Hope everyone is covering their potted plants. Thought it wasn't going to freeze one night and two plants don't look like they are going to make it. So now I have just put all of them in the garage till all this cold weather passes.

If anything has come out of this great depression that we are in, is that if you want to make money in the future now is the time to buy investment properties.

I know a lot of people are having a hard time holding on to their homes and I wish that was not happening to them. In some areas around Houston the neighbors of these homes are losing their value because of it too. It ranges from older communities to brand new ones and in all parts of the Houston area.

We can help these communities if more people, not just investors, would step up and invest their hard earned cash into these homes. Of course easier said than done. It does take that special mind set to do this type of investing and I am experiencing it now. The time and effort it takes and there will be a lot of it, that most people shy away from this type of investing. But in the long run once you see the potential in the profits you would make and the neighborhoods that you would help, I say go for it.

Not only are you helping the economy but you are also helping neighborhoods retain their value in their homes and of course the extra money in your pocket. Profits could range from 30% to 60% depending on the community that you decide to help and we have some great places that need that help.

So if your have some extra time why don't you drive around your own neighborhood and see how it is doing. Keeping up with the neighbors is a good thing here and you may be surprised that it could use your help and we all need a little help every now and then.

New Company?

Starting Monday and for the rest of the week I will be doing some work for Astor Homes out of New York City. They sell shares into vacation home sites and they are very beautiful.

Mainly I will be helping them updated their listings on different sites and answering some questions to people that want more info on them. It should be exciting to help them out and of course I will be learning something new and exciting.

I will have more info as the week goes on.

It seems that the real estate market has slowed a bit now that school has started but that doesn't mean it has just stopped.

If you are thinking of purchasing your first home you still have time to cash in on the $8000 tax incentive. So call your realtor, hope that is me, now to get more info.

Yes, that is correct it is a new day and this is a new blog.

I have been working on finding ways to contact people that are in a situation that need to sell their home and fast. Getting people to admit that it is time to sell and move on to their next home is hard.

There are many reasons why people need to sell and stoping a foreclosure is one. I have seen were people have put their homes up for sale and in 2 days they had a contract. A contract is a good way to help stop the foreclosure proceedings if given enough time to get it to the mortgage company. So if they would do what needs to be done to sell their house they could save themselves a big headache.

So if you are in that situation talk to you mortgage company and find yourself a great realtor to talk over your options for selling your home.
